A GILT BRONZE FIGURE OF A LUOHAN
17TH/18TH CENTURY
The figure is cast standing with eyes closed in contemplation and hands held together in prayer. He wears long flowing robes tied at the shoulder with a tassled cord. The hems of the robes are detailed with incised floral scrolls beside a beaded edge. There are traces of lacquer and coloured pigments.
