12° (112 x 70mm). 3 folding engraved plates. Contemporary green morocco, the sides with gilt rule and scrolling foliate border, the upper side titled in gilt, gilt edges, moiré style endpapers (skilfully rebacked preserving the original spine). Provenance: Alexander II of Russia (bookplate).
FIRST EDITION. ALEXANDER II'S COPY, IN GREEN MOROCCO. Rare: WorldCat locates only one copy, the Elagin Palace copy at the Library of Congress. This publication supplements the first regulations of the Russian Dragoons, which were published in 1848. Studemeister 16.
