Gaevskii, with his ticket, leather tooled with an all-over pattern incorporating foliage, dragonflies, cicadas, and various insects, top edge gilt (light wear). A fine annual record of the season at the Imperial theatres in St. Petersburg, and Moscow. Illustrated with reproductions of stage designs, and portraits of numerous Russian and visiting performers, for various productions including Glinka's 'Ruslan and Liudmila'.
