JIAQING IRON-RED SIX-CHARACTER SEAL MARK AND OF THE PERIOD (1796-1820)
The bowl with slightly everted rim and short tapering foot is decorated to the exterior with four medallions enclosing pendant tasselled lanterns and beribboned scholars' objects including a ruyi sceptre and books, all reserved on a ground of leafy scrolling lotuses, the interior with a central medallion enclosing similar auspicious objects, a band of scrolling lotus heads and peony blossom encircles the rim.
