Both modelled standing carrying pails on their heads, he wearing a black hat, an open yellow jacket, white shirt, red and yellow spotted cravat, blue apron, purple breeches and black shoes, with a leaping hound at his feet, before a tree-stump, on a square plinth moulded with rococo scrolls and leaves enriched in purple, his companion similarly modelled with a yellow jacket and flowered skirt with flowering leaves at her feet, on a plain square base moulded with scrolls to each corner (his right hand replaced, restoration to dog's front legs, the bocage, both pails, slight chipping to leaves, branches and footrims)
