Modelled as a gentleman seated on rockwork, with a saltbox resting on his left knee, playing with his right hand, wearing a shirt with frilled collar, buttoned jacket, breeches and a hat with a feather at the brim (right hand, stick, upper part of saltbox, section of hat brim and feather restored, small chips to edge of jacket, bows on each shoe and to bow on one knee)
