Three Kingdoms period, Gaya Federation (5th-6th century)
Comprised of a globular jar with upright neck moulded on each shoulder with a loop lug to allow securing to the domed cover through its matching lugs, the vessel also exhibiting a sheen over most of the surface from a natural ash glaze and with random black patches from the firing

Gaya was a federation of states in the central and southern region of the Korean peninsula during the Three Kingdoms period (57BCE-300CE) that was subsumed into the Unified Silla dynasty in the later sixth century.
