QIANLONG FOUR-CHARACTER SEAL MARK IN IRON RED IN A LINE AND OF THE PERIOD, 1770-1795
The bottle is of flattened double-gourd shape with a rectangular lower body decorated in famille rose enamels on one side with tree peony and begonia, and on the reverse with chrysanthemum and asters, all within a raised border, and the narrow sides are decorated with iron-red flower sprays. The upper body is decorated on each side with an iron-red flower head medallion surrounded by leafy flower stems in underglaze blue and gilding. The reign mark on the base is flanked by two gilt and underglaze blue florets.
