I printed in red and black, engraved frontispiece to vol. I and vignette to both title pages, engraved illustrations in the text. (Frontispiece offset onto title page, illustrations similarly offset onto facing pages, short closed tear to outer edge of margin vol. I F2, paper repair to upper corner vol. II E7.) Maroon polished morocco, spine richly gilt in compartments, two of these lettered, gilt supralibros, double rule border to boards, gilt turn-ins and edges, silk ribbon marker. Provenance: bookseller's ticket for Ravanat, Grenoble, to front pastedown; purchased from C. Gaillandre, 1924.
