A SANCAI-GLAZED POTTERY AMPHORA
TANG DYNASTY (618-907)
The ovoid body is raised on a flat base, and the rounded shoulder is splash-glazed in amber, green and cream, exposing the buff ware of the unglazed lower body, while the reel-shaped neck is glazed amber, as are the two dragon-headed handles that bite the cup-shaped mouth.
