AN UNUSUAL LONGQUAN CELADON EWER
SOUTHERN SONG DYNASTY (1127-1279)
The deep, upright sides are vertically ribbed below the canted shoulder which is applied with four small molded flowers between the loop handle, spout and two opposing small applied loops. The vessel is covered overall with a glaze of blue-green color that thins on the raised areas and also covers the base.
