A CIZHOU-TYPE PAINTED BROWN-GROUND PEAR-SHAPED VASE, YUHUCHUNPING
JIN/YUAN DYNASTY, 12TH-13TH CENTURY
The body is painted in somewhat metallic matte brown with three graceful flower sprays reserved on the dark olive-brown glaze that continues over the rim into the interior of the neck. The base is unglazed and carved with an inscription, Li Ho, possibly the potter's name.
