A REDDISH-BROWN SANDSTONE STONE RELIEF
EARLY NORTHERN WEI DYNASTY, 6TH CENTURY
The front is carved in low relief with two rows of donors, the slender figures standing with their hands clasped within the sleeves of their long court robes, and separated by carved inscriptions which identify them. Below is a hunting scene of a lioness stalking her prey amidst trees, with three ungulates behind her, and there are further figures on the ends, including one holding the tail of a tiger.
