A FAMILLE ROSE PORCELAIN SNUFF BOTTLE
1860-1920
The bottle is of compressed pear shape and finely decorated on one side with an elderly man with a staff crossing a bridge between trees on either bank of an inlet. The reverse is painted in black with a poem describing the scene, followed by the signature Danyun daoren (Daoist Danyun), and all is between ruby ruyi borders. The base is inscribed Jiangshantang zhi (Hall of Respectful Kindness).
