A GREEN AND AUBERGINE-DECORATED YELLOW-GROUND DISH
KANGXI SIX-CHARACTER MARK IN UNDERGLAZE BLUE WITHIN A DOUBLE CIRCLE AND OF THE PERIOD (1662-1722)
The interior of the heavily potted dish is decorated with a green dragon and an aubergine dragon leaping amidst clouds and flames as they contest a flaming pearl below eight flowers including lotus, rose, peony, crab apple, prunus, camellia, chrysanthemum and hollyhock, in the rounded well, while a frieze of four dragons at similar pursuit decorates the exterior.
