Lot Essay

More than one author wrote works by the title Tahrir Uqlidis. However that responsible for our text is likely to be Nasir al-Din Tusi as the colophon gives the date of completion of the text as 22 Sha'ban 646/17 December 1248-49 AD.

One of the later owner's notes states that the manuscript was owned by a Muhammad Taqi bin Muhammad Reza al-Munajjim (the astronomer). His seal is also present and is dated AH 1028/1618-19 AD.
