OTTOMAN TURKEY, LATE 18TH/EARLY 19TH CENTURY
Of typical form with shallow base rising from short vertical foot, with separate slightly stepped domed lid, the blue enamelled surface decorated on the base with a lattice filled with small flowerheads and alternated with floral roundels, the lid with a band of gold scrolling vine alternated with small floral sprays in polychrome below a register of larger polychrome floral sprays, with metal rosebud finial, the interior white enamelled, small areas of repainting
