TURKEY, 18TH CENTURY
Of rectangular form on short splayed base, the cover with sloping sides and flat top, veneered with stylized tulips and palmettes and further floral compositions over foiled tortoishell ground, the edges with ivory and dark wood, possibly ebony, striped panels, opening to reveal four drawers, the interior lined with blue silk, lock and key
9 7/8 x 13½ x 9¾in. (25 x 34 x 24.6cm.)
