Lot Essay

The present Omega reference CK2042 is one of the most attractive and best preserved examples of this model to come to the auction market in many years. Not only does its large case impress by its sharp edges and beautiful satin finish to the sides, but most importantly the black dial, free of restoration, reveals a most appealing shine.

This model is one of Omega's most important wristwatch designs of the 20th century and it comes to little surprise that the firm has chosen this reference for a limited re-edition in the year 2000 for their Museum Collection, naming it appropriately "The Pilot's Watch".
