With tapering spear-point blade etched on each side at the forte with a large 'GR' cypher and signed 'BLAND' on one side beneath the cypher, iron basket hilt with slotted guard, reeded knuckle-guard and outer bars each cut with diamond-shaped faceted pattern, original rayskin-covered wooden grip bound with copper wire, and faceted pommel, in original black leather scabbard with iron mounts (scabbard split, some wear and discolouration to blade, old minor damage to grip covering, hilt and scabbard mounts heavily discoloured)
