With blued octagonal sighted barrel, signed in full, engraved with a band of foliage at the muzzle and a spray of scrollwork at the breech, and cut with multi-groove rifling, case-hardened border engraved cylinder numbered from '1' to '5', border and scroll engraved blued frame, signed 'Bentley's Patent No. A.431', case-hardened scroll engraved hammer with blued Bentley patent safety-catch, finely chequered walnut grips, blued border and scroll engraved trigger-guard, case-hardened butt-cap with hinged trap-cover engraved with a flower-head and Bentley patent screw-rammer, retaining virtually all its original finish throughout (some flaking to trigger-guard), London proof marks
