A GILT-SPLASHED BRONZE TWIN-HANDLED CENSER AND COVER
18TH CENTURY
Of rectangular form, the censer is applied with handles modelled as archaistic phoenix and is supported on four short feet. The body of the censer is decorated with a continuous scene depicting cranes and deer amongst prunus, pine, lingzhi and bamboo. The reticulated cover is similarly decorated, surmounted by a finial formed as a recumbent qilin.
