CASABLANCA

Casablanca was not released in Italy until after the war in 1946. This poster is from the film's second release in Italy in 1948 and we believe is the earliest Italian release to come to auction. An Italian 39 x 27in. with the same artwork is in the Collection Museo Nazionale del Cinema, Turin and is illustrated in Kehr, Dave Italian Film Posters, (New York, Museum of Modern Art, 2003), p.103.
