A GROUP OF DEHUA VESSELS
17TH/18TH CENTURY
The first is a pair of lotus leaf water droppers delicately modelled with a crab to the interior resting on a hollow stalk spout, with wood stands. The second and third are two similar brush washers, xi, each shaped as a lotus leaf with a trailing stalk and an applied leafy lotus bud, one with a wood stand. The fourth are a pair of leaf-shaped cups, with a moulded stalk handle and resting on leaf-form feet, each with wood stands. The fifth are a pair of tripod cups in the form of jue wine ewers, with moulded panel and flange decoration, each with wood stands.
