MARK OF CHARLES AND RICHARD COMYNS, LONDON, 1920
Realistically modelled as a ship of the late 16th century, with three masts, each with sails and rigging, the decks with various figures, on a silver-mounted ebonised wood plinth, one sail pricked with the Tudor rose crowned and with the initials 'ER', the stern engraved with a coat-of-arms, marked on hull, sails, flags and base
19 in. (48.3 cm.) high
20½ in. (52 cm.) long
the ship 87 oz. 11 dwt. (2,723 gr.)
The arms are those of Queen Elizabeth I.
