With curved single-edged blade back-edged at the elongated clip-point, struck on each side at the forte with a small crowned maker's mark, and cut with twin fullers on each side, later iron hilt comprising guard formed of downcurved arms, downcurved extended rear-quillon, and swelled knuckle-guard, well-made wire-bound grip, and bulb-shaped pommel, the guard and pommel each decorated with chiselled lines of running foliage
