With slender double-edged blade of flattened hexagonal section signed 'DE TOMAS AIALA' with the central fuller on each side at the forte, iron cup-guard pierced with scrolling foliage and with turned rim, later iron guardapolvo, scrolled vertically recurved quillons, and knuckle-guard, later wire-bound grip with Turk's heads, and associated openwork spherical pommel decorated with flower-heads and shells
