With long slender blade of stiff diamond section struck on each side on the oblong ricasso with the maker's marks 'ST' crowned (blade spliced at tang), iron guard of slender moulded bars formed as a series of waisted segments with a turned joint between, comprising upper side-ring, long downcurved rear-quillon, knuckle-guard, arms and asymmetrical lower ring-guards each with embossed and pierced plate, pierced quillon-block, later good quality spirally-fluted wire-bound grip, and large pierced spherical pommel
