A FINE ITALIAN (SARDINIAN) HUNTING KNIFE
LATE 18TH EARLY 19TH CENTURY
With broad single-edged blade ground with a shallow fuller on each side along the downcurved back-edge, the back-edge with raised medial ridge running along its entire length, and engraved at a later date on each side with the Royal coat of arms on one side and a crowned fleur-de-lys on the other, turned ricasso, and large ivory grip finely carved in relief with a lion's head with a slightly tapering silvered collar at the base, in modern lined and fitted leather-covered case
