With slender two-stage octagonal then polygonal barrel with turned moulded muzzle, turned girdle and signed 'GIO. MARIA FRANCINO' on the fluted breech-section, plain tang, flat bevelled lock finely engraved with foliage on the stepped tail and with finely chiselled pierced cock, finely figured walnut full stock (fore-end an expert replacement) inset with steel plaques finely pierced and engraved with flowering foliage, serpent trigger, and iron mounts chiselled in relief with flowering foliage en suite with the plaques, later ramrod with chiselled iron tip, and iron belt-hook chiselled with foliage
