With swamped two-stage barrels each with silver spider fore-sight, turned girdle, octagonal breech-section inlaid with scrollwork, the insription 'SOLI DEO GLORIA' and respectively with the letters 'A' and 'Z', the barrels with full length walnut fore-end fillets with decorative brass mounts and priming-pan on each side, one side fitted with the brass-tipped ramrod (later), plain rounded back-action lock, moulded figured walnut butt with raised cheek-piece and patch-box with sliding cover, brass mounts including trigger-guard with sprung front edge acting as the barrel-release, and iron sling-mounts
