With late Renaissance swelled single-edged reprofiled clip-point blade etched with a panel of foliage against a gilt ground on each side at the forte and along the back-edge, grooved brass guard extending into a pierced collar for the base of the faceted glass grip, and beaked brass pommel with corresponding pierced collar, the brass parts retaining some blackened finish
