A pair of 19th Century parcel-gilt silver-mounted cut glass claret jugs
of baluster form, on rising circular bases decorated with egg and dart and flower, foliate and strapwork friezes, each with a foliate-decorated dolphin scroll handle, mount enhanced with masks, foliage and strapwork and with vacant cartouches, satyr's mask spout and part-fluted domed hinged cover with openwork scroll finial, the bodies cut with griffins supporting vacant cartouches, flowers and scrolling foliage, probably German - 14¼in. (36.25cm.)
