A GEORGE III SATINWOOD AND CHINESE LACQUER SIDE CABINET
CIRCA 1790
Strung in boxwood and banded in amaranth overall, the replaced grey and white marble top with fossilised black marble border, the frieze inlaid with padouk panels, the doors with Chinese lacquer panels depicting birds, figures, trees and buildings to the exterior and peonies and leaves to the interior, the inside of the cabinet later-fitted with two drawers and a shelf, the feet panelled in goncalo alves
