Of ovoid form with slightly flared neck, inlaid in gold, silver, shakudo and copper with a dragonfly caught by a spider's web on a clover bush, the foot decorated with stylized lotus petals, the mottled surface simulating the texture of pottery; signature on base

Jomi Eisuke was one of the most prominent metal artists in Kyoto. He exhibited and won prizes regularly at the international expositions.
