A Buncheong Brushed-Slip Bowl
Joseon dynasty (15th-16th century)
The wide bowl flaring from the raised ring foot and incised on the exterior just below the rim with two narrow parallel lines and repeated on the interior in successive bands, brushed on the interior with a thin application of white slip and also with thicker swatches of white slip, which give an abstract pattern to the interior, the exterior applied with a thin and granular coating of white slip and the whole vessel, save the foot rim and recessed base, covered with a glossy clear glaze; six spur marks from kiln stacking in the well
