A LARGE CELADON-GLAZED CARVED OVOID JAR
18TH CENTURY
The heavily potted body is carved with a broad frieze of peony scroll between a band of petal lappets below and a ruyi band above, and the short waisted neck is encircled by a band of leaf tips. The exterior is covered with a soft sea-green glaze that continues over the rim into the neck.
