A SMALL BLUE AND WHITE BALUSTER VASE
KANGXI PERIOD (1662-1722)
The body is decorated on one side with a four-clawed dragon, and on the reverse with a carp, both shown leaping from wind-tossed waves and a lishui band between decorative borders and above a relief band of overlapping petals repeated on the rounded collar that encircles the neck. The mouth rim and linear borders are dressed in brown.
