QIANLONG CAST SEAL MARK AND OF THE PERIOD (1736-1795)
The heavily cast vessel is raised on three tall, faceted legs, and is cast around the sides with a band of archaistic design between bowstring borders below a pair of posts that rises from the rim. The seal mark is cast on the underside. The patina is of dark olive-brown color.

A similar bronze jue, also with a Qianlong seal mark, in the collection of the Victoria and Albert Museum, is illustrated by R. Kerr in Later Chinese Bronzes, London, 1990, p. 33, pl. 19.
