A WHITE JADE BAMBOO-FORM OPENWORK PENDANT
19TH CENTURY
The flat pendant is in the shape of a section of bamboo carved in low relief on each side with an inscription, zai jia chang ru yi (may you have your wishes fulfilled at home) and chu wai yong ping an (may peace be with you always when you are traveling), and carved in openwork to one side with bamboo rising above lingzhi. The stone is semi-translucent and of even tone.
