A WHITE JADE 'CICADA' PENDANT
18TH/19TH CENTURY
The pendant is well carved as a stylized cicada with ruyi-shaped mouth, the flat top is carved with the head and scroll-detailed wings, while the convex underside is carved with the abdomen and legs. The stone is of even white color.
2 5/16 in. (5.8 cm.) long

Lizzadro Collection, Chicago, Illinois, acquired prior to 1960.
