A PAIR OF FAMILLE ROSE YELLOW-GROUND CUPS
TONGZHI FOUR-CHARACTER MARKS IN IRON-RED AND OF THE PERIOD (1862-1874)
Each cup has deep rounded sides rising steeply to a slightly flared rim and supported on a short foot. The exteriors are decorated with magpies in flight amongst flowering prunus blossoms in relief, all reserved on a yellow ground.
3½ in. (9 cm.) diam.
