A SPINACH-GREEN JADE TWIN-HANDLED CUP
QIANLONG INCISED FOUR-CHARACTER YU YONG MARK AND OF THE PERIOD (1736-1795)
The cup is delicately carved with deep rounded sides rising to a flaring rim, supported on a short foot, with a key-fret border running along the exterior of the mouth rim. The two angular archaistic handles are each surmounted by a recumbent deer. In addition to the Qianlong mark, there is a Jiaqing incised yu yong four-character mark to the body above the foot. The stone is of a dark green tone with an even network of black speckling throughout.
