With Patek Philippe Extract from the Archives confirming production of the present watch with silvered dial, raised steel indexes and tachometer scale in 1938 and its subsequent sale on 6 August 1948.

The present watch was acquired some twenty years ago through our saleroom and has now been consigned by a private collector. A fine example of this celebrated Patek Philippe chronograph model, the present reference 130 has retained its original case proportions. The well-preserved case measures a remarkable 33.6 mm. According to our understanding, the watch has been fully serviced and the dial refinished. Its discreet look combined with its robust chronograph mechanism and rarity make the watch a great find for anyone wanting to acquire an elegant vintage piece.

Reference 130
Being Patek Philippe's first chronograph with a reference, the 130 was launched in 1934. The model was produced in different precious metal versions, as well as in stainless steel. It is interesting to note that the lugs of the stainless steel version are different from the yellow, pink or white gold ones. Their slightly thicker but shorter design gives the watch a rather tonneau-shaped appearance and a more sporty, robust and masculine look.
