A LARGE FAMILLE ROSE 'BIRD AND FLOWER' DISH
YONGZHENG PERIOD (1723-35)
The central roundel is decorated with a single kingfisher perched on a branch of flowering peony, all within a double blue line. The well is painted with three pairs of butterflies and scattered smaller butterflies below a further double blue line. The exterior is painted in iron-red with eight bats. The base has an apocryphal Chenghua underglaze blue six-character mark.
