A BROWN-GROUND FAMILLE ROSE AND GILT 'LANDSCAPE' DOUBLE LOZENGE VASE
LATE 19TH/EARLY 20TH CENTURY
The vase has twin monster-head handles and is supported on a shaped openwork base. It is decorated to each side with a rectangular panel enclosing pavilions within a rocky, mountainous landscape, all in reserve on a brown ground embellished in gilt with lotus heads and scrolling foliage.
