TWO PALE CELADON JADE RECTANGULAR CARVED PENDANTS
19TH CENTURY
The first is a waisted rectangular pendant with canted corners and an inscription to the reverse reading mei shou wan nian that may be translated as 'longevity for ten thousand years'. The second is carved to one side with a lingzhi fungus and to the reverse with the characters Fu Shou. The stone of both pendants is of a pale celadon tone.
The largest 2.1/8 in. (5.5 cm.) high
Provenance
Lizzadro Collection, Chicago, Illinois, acquired prior to 1960.
