TWO SMALL TOURMALINE PENDANTS
19TH CENTURY
One is carved in openwork as a fruiting melon growing on a gnarled leafy branch, with a little insect clambering to one side. The stone is of a vibrant pink colour with iridescent inclusions. The other pendant is of a brownish-green tone which has cleverly been used to carve a fruiting gourd with leaves of a pale pink tone.
The larger 1.5/8 in. (4 cm.) long
