A RED KESI SILK TABLE FRONTAL
18TH CENTURY
It is woven with a pair of phoenix and a pair of Buddhist lions facing a brocade ball, amidst flower sprays on the predominantly red ground. The overhanging top section is woven with bats and symbols amongst cloud scrolls. The lower part is woven with foaming waves above a band of ruyi and lishui stripes.
