Of tapering cylindrical form with ram's head handles, the shoulder finely painted and hand-tooled in white slip with a frieze of addorsed fantastic dolphins suspending laurel garlands and pendant classical portrait medallions alternating with roundels inscribed either 'SEVRES MDCCCLXIX' or 'SEVRES', the conforming socle enriched with gilt bands
